"That's the girl you should marry"

Dad met Frank Bingham in Institute. They enjoyed talking about Hawaii where Dad had served a mission and Frank had been in while in the service. They became good friends and roommates and were in the Alpha chapter of the Sigma Gamma Chi, the LDS fraternity. One night they had a party with a Hawaiian theme, but it was just for men. After the party Frank said he wanted to stop and see his fiancée Elaine Kirkman . In a apartment where the girls lived, Cory struck up a conversation with one of the roommates named Joyce Parrish, who had lived out in Trout Creek near Callao, where Dad had spent many summers on the ranch.  But while he was there, another young lady caught his eye. "She was acting kind of shy", Dad said. At that moment an impression came to his mind, “that’s the girl you should marry”. He later found out her name was Gloria Randall. He had heard about Gloria Randall but thought she lived in another one of the halls on campus. Dad decided he just had to get a date with Gloria.  They were married in the Salt Lake Temple on June 7, 1957 just one week after Mom graduated from Utah State University.
